When I created a site, I needed something that was financially smart (Right now, I don’t have the $4000 it would cost to have a custom site designed by Flosites. Some day) but also had good SEO capability. What better than a WordPress? My site actually uses a combination of two different themes. One has my homepage/gallery and one houses the blog entries.
One day, I received a phone call from a man who worked for a medical company in Wisconsin. His company was going to be in Palm Coast at a local resort for company meetings in January and wanted to get new headshots for their website and some marketing materials. We worked out a price and the contract was signed and we were ready. Needless to say, I was very excited. As I attempt to transition to a full time photographer, the more clients I can get, the better it is for me. This was my first corporate shoot. While the marketing guy I was dealing with wanted to do some more than just head shots, the others who were there wanted to get out on the golf course and up to St. Augustine (It was only in the 60 in Palm Coast but that was probably a lot warmer than it was in Wisconsin) so head shots it was. The people were great and things moved quickly. I had a roll of white seamless, one SB-600 and a 45″ umbrella. That was my light set-up. The guy I dealt with did not want a stark white background so the one light was enough. Below are a few of the images from that day:
