Help For Those In Haiti

I have been thinking about ways that I can get more involved with helping the people of Haiti. I’m not able to go down there and there’s only so much one person can donate. So what I am going to do is appeal to people to donate and get something in return as well as knowing the money you’re donating are going to help people who are truly suffering.

The image of the sunrise below was made on a day when I had absolutely no intention of photographing the sunrise. I was headed out early on a Saturday morning in order to shoot some images of fog and mist. On the way there, I could see glimpses of the horizon and could see the awesome colors the sun was starting produce. I took a detour and headed over to the beach. This is Flagler Beach, Florida and that is the pier where many people fish throughout the day. This is one of the many images I captured that morning and it was amazing to see.

My first thought was to ask people to purchase a printed copy of the image, but after looking at handling and printing costs, it would force me to ask you to donate $11.50 in order to donate $5 to helping the earthquake victims. So what I am going to do instead is ask you to donate $5 directly. When you do that, you’ll be emailed a link where you will be able to download a high-resolution copy of this image suitable for printing.

Convoy of Hope is doing amazing things in Haiti right now. They have been delivering food, hygiene kits and clean drinking water but they could use more and that’s where you come in.

For just $5, you can get a copy of the image above and help people in Haiti. Please consider this. Thank you.

I am using e-junkie for this and it will accept both credit cards and Paypal.
